Christmas Poinsettia

Christmas is just around the corner! Here's how you can brighten up your family & friends' Christmas this year with quilled Poinsettias.
Poinsettia mini card & popsicle stick bookmark
You can either place the quilled Poinsettia on cards, gift tags, bookmark or even earrings!

For the mini card, you'll need
  • A red cardstock measuring 3.5" X 3.5" (after folding)
  • A piece of yellow paper measuring 2" X 2"
  • holiday red, green and yellow 1/8" standard quilling strips
Make:
  • Eight  of 6" Red Marquise for petals
  • Four of 6" Green Shaped Marquise for leaves
  • Three of 2" Yellow tight coils for center
Arrange and glue the petals together before placing the tight coils in the centre on top of the petals. Glue the yellow square right in the middle of the red card. Arrange the Poinsettia and leaves in the yellow square until you are satisfied with the design and then glue them down carefully.

For the bookmark, you'll need
  • a popsicle stick painted in green
  • holiday red standard (1/8") & yellow narrow (1.5mm) standard quilling strips
Make:
  • Seven  of 4" Red Marquise for petals
  • Three of 1" Yellow tight coils for center
Arrange and glue the petals together before placing the tight coils in the centre on top of the petals. Then glue the Poinsettia onto the green popsicle stick. (Or you can glue this onto the 'clip' type earrings and wear Poinsettia flowers on your ears for Christmas!)
Surprise your family & friends with a quilled Poinsettia bookmark if you are giving them books for Christmas!
Have fun quilling!
